The year we focus on Hemsley's rhythm!
As an organisation, we've spent the past few years rebuilding our Hemsley house, and our journey from 2020 has included a number of phases. From one of survival, through to driving the business back to pre-pandemic figures and thriving in 2023 with predicted 13% real growth.
As we continue to build on this, 2024 is the time we really understand the rhythm of our business again – how to be as efficient as possible and ensure we grow and keep developing both our business and our people!

As people managers we need you to help drive the right rhythm with each of your teams; this starts with setting clear objectives for all employees, so each of them know what is expected of them and how this links up to the overall strategy and rhythm we are trying to achieve.
As part of January’s kick-off meeting, the ExCo will be setting the rhythm for each department and what we want to achieve in 2024. It will then be your job as Managers to translate this to your direct reports and what it means for them and their objectives.

What it means to get the rhythm right...
When we get the rhythm right, we sell the right value to the customer, we sell the right combination of content, tech & services, which results in a better margin; the more margin we make, the more profitable we are and the more we can do! For example, promotions, pay rises, away days, social events, charitable work etc.
